This Year's Judges
This year’s judges were some of the finest humans to ever spin a sign. Decades of sign spinning experience are shared between the three of them from their countless hours spent on a street corner spinning a sign.
- Theo Davis – Competitive Sign Spinner known for his aggressive style of sign spinning and his signature trick “Lightning in a Bottle”
- Jimmel Martin – Competitive Sign Spinner known for his martial arts style of sign spinning and his signature trick “The Hardest Man Working”
- Teddy Hale – Former World Sign Spinning Champion known for his classic San Diego sign spinning style and his signature trick the “Thunder Smash”
How Is Sign Spinning Judged?
Each round in the championship will be scored by a panel of three judges, including sign spinning legends and former champions.
Judges will grade competitors in three categories, with each category offering up to 10 points. The maximum score per judge is 30 points, totaling up to 90 points per round.
- Technical Ability – sign spinning tricks: flips, spins, twists.
- Execution – how smooth and complete said tricks are performed.
- Style – how well its all put together: dancing, poses, rhythm (often overlooked).
EVENT LOCATION
The competition will erupt in the heart of The Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas and blow the minds of the THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE who visit The Fremont Street Experience daily.
