February 24th, 2024 – The bustling streets of downtown Las Vegas were bursting with energy as the world’s most skilled sign spinners gathered on Fremont Street to battle for the #1 title of World Sign Spinning Champion. That’s right, the highly anticipated event: the 2024 World Sign Spinning Championship was back and better than ever.

This is a one-a-kind competition is one of the largest gatherings of street level performers in the world. The 2024 WSSC drew fifty of the finest sign spinners, representing cities from coast-to-coast like San Diego & Washington DC. Even international sign spinners flew in from Germany to be part of the action.

Each spinner brought their unique signature styles and individual skills, creating an electrifying atmosphere throughout the championship. There are some spinners that do some of the most insane sign spinning tricks ever thought of. Really, you had to be there – words don’t really do it justice.

Among the talented competitors from various markets across the globe, one spinner rose above the rest to claim the coveted Gold Sign – Tyler Cartwright from Atlanta, GA. 

 

Tyler was among one of the youngest competitors to take to the sign spinning arena. But don’t let his age fool you, Tyler has been a sign spinner for years and this was not his first time bringing the heat to the WSSC. He’s even spun signs in multiple continents including Australia and Korea.

Tyler’s performance was nothing short of amazing, showcasing creativity, precision, and flair that set him apart from the competition. Tyler came out of the gate with such raw sign spinning intensity, just countless transitions from trick to trick. It was a nonstop barrage of Tyler’s fast hands unleashing a hurricane of sign spinning tricks.

Tyler even took break the world record for the amount of waterwheel spins you can do consecutively. 

 

THE GOLDEN SIGN

 
 The top three sign spinners took home trophy signs and a considerable amount of prize money and raised the bar on what it takes to win.
 

Following Tyler Cartwright’s triumphant victory, the second-place spot was secured by Kendric Washington from the Washington D.C. area, a 3 time former sign spinning champion.

Rounding out the podium was Zachary Blaylock from Fort Lauderdale, whose sleek style earned them third-place honors.
