DONATE BLOOD AT COMIC CON 2026

/

July 14, 2026

This July, AArrow Sign Spinners is proud to join forces with the San Diego Blood Bank to help spread the word about one of the most impactful traditions at San Diego Comic-Con: the Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive. As Comic-Con celebrates its 50th year, this legendary blood drive is marking a milestone anniversary of its own, and we’re excited to help get the community out to donate.

Why AArrow Sign Spinners Is Getting Involved

At AArrow, we know a thing or two about grabbing attention on the street — it’s what our sign spinners do best. This year, we’re putting that energy toward a cause that matters: helping San Diego Blood Bank get eyes (and arms) on their blood drive during one of the busiest weeks in San Diego. Whether you’re headed to the convention center or just passing through downtown, keep an eye out for our team helping point the way to the donation booth.

Three Ways to Donate

San Diego Blood Bank has made it easy to give back, whether or not you’re able to make it to the Hyatt during the convention itself.

2. Donate after the convention

Can’t make it during Comic-Con week? You’ve got over a month to still be part of it. From July 27 through August 31, donate at any of San Diego Blood Bank’s 10 donation centers or mobile drives — no badge required. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are accepted. Call (619) 400-8251 or find a location near you.

3. Donate before the convention

Already planning to donate ahead of time? Just mention it’s for Comic-Con and use group code CCON to get a certificate of donation. Bring that certificate to the Blood Drive booth during the convention to pick up your T-shirt, giveaways, and a chance at the prize drawing. Limit one certificate per person.

Every Pint Counts

Blood can’t be manufactured — it only comes from generous donors. With Comic-Con drawing well over 100,000 attendees each year, the Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive has become a powerful reminder of what a community can do when it shows up for something bigger than itself.

AArrow Sign Spinners is honored to help point the way. For full details, eligibility requirements, and the latest updates, visit Comic-Con’s official blood drive page.
