We always say a good sign spinner has to have soul. We even have sign spinners in Seoul, South Korea. But for Pixar to have a sign spinner in their new move Soul, its just a true honor for us! And just look at those moves, they really got the sign spinning part down! From Head-spins to Jamaican-Me-Crazy, all the pro moves are there!
Definitely a weird time to be featured in a Movie, in a time when Movie Theaters aren’t exactly the safest place to catch a premiere. Pixar’s new animated movie, Soul, was released on Disney+ early 2021 for at home streaming. What a time to be alive. But look, there’s sign spinning in it! So we like to consider it a success!
We’d like to tell you a bit about the movie, but it’s probably best you watch it for yourself. So that way we don’t spoil it. All we can tell you is that it was incredible, emotional, thought-provoking, has sign spinning, and has something to do with Souls. But after you watch it, you’ll probably be able to relate to any sign spinner you see! Other than that, it’s available to stream on Disney+ .
This is not the first time sign spinning has been in a movie, and it won’t be the last. AArrow sign spinning legend, Larry Fuller, actually went to Pixar head quarters to train them how to spin signs and digitize his moves. Since then, Pixar has since used sign spinners in Cars, and Big Hero 6! So you can tell, that sign spinning is kind of a real deal now 🙂
